Lisa Edgar

Lisa has worked in the research industry for more than 20 years, both on the agency and client side. She is a former Senior Brand Planner at Nestlé Rowntree and has worked at Director level in agencies for nearly 15 years. She was a founding partner at eg limited.

Lisa has a BSc in Econometrics, Postgraduate Diplomas in Training & Development and Psychology and an MSc in Occupational & Organisational Psychology. She is an active member of the Market Research Society (MRS) and the British Psychological Society (MBPsS). Lisa is one of the few researchers to proactively use psychological techniques and analysis in commercial market research. In 2004, whilst a partner at eg, she was one of the first to use Behavioural Economics to explain the difference between intention and behaviour in compensation-seeking behaviours.


Frances Green
Senior Partner

Frances is an experienced and respected financial research specialist and has designed and led numerous quantitative and qualitative projects on behalf of a wide range of financial services companies. Prior to joining the tBW team in 2015, Frances was Harris Interactive's Financial Research Director, with responsibility for business development and managing some of the agency's largest accounts. Clients included Co-operative Group, FCA, Lloyds Banking Group, Investec, Royal London Group and Zurich.

Frances was previously Director at NOP Financial and Research & Planning Manager at HSBC.


Victoria Ward
Senior Partner

With a first degree in Economics and a Masters in Marketing, Vicky is a research consultant specialising in qualitative techniques. She has over 25 years’ experience across a full range of qualitative methodologies including staff workshops, group discussions, guided shops, observation, in-depth interviews, brainstorming sessions and interactive forums. Vicky has a well-deserved reputation for really getting underneath an issue and turning insights into effective strategies in both the consumer and business-to-business markets, with clients turning to her for help with their most complex business and marketing issues.

A full member of both the Market Research Society and the Association of Qualitative Research, Vicky has also been a trainer at the MRS Qualitative Research Skills residential course.


Aynsley Jardin
Associate Partner

Aynsley is a senior board-level marketer and business person with international multi-sector and multi-brand experience gained in blue-chip organisations (Mars Confectionery, The Coca-Cola Company, Orange, Saga and the AA), including a strong focus on strategy, proposition and brand development, communications, new product development and event management. Aynsley has a BSc in Chemistry and Psychology with further qualifications and specific experience in Neuro Linguistic Programming, market research techniques, and brand and strategic development.

Previously Worldwide Brand Director of New Technologies for Orange and, for the last five years, the Group Brand Director for Acromas (which owned Saga and the AA), Aynsley brings a wealth of strategic knowledge and expertise to any business issue. She provides the important bridge between what comes from research and learning programmes, and what organisations and brands do next.


Mark Gumbley

Mark has nearly 15 years’ experience as an expert Qualitative Consultant.

Mark has conducted a wide range of projects over several research areas, including new product development, customer satisfaction, customer and market segmentation, strategic intelligence, concept testing and product literature evaluation. He has strong and recent experience in investment research.

Mark’s great strength is his sensitive yet incisive probing. His analysis is thorough yet insightful – a very important member our team.


Dr. Emma Kirkby-Geddes

A former Marketer, Emma is a consummate psychologist and researcher with extensive academic and commercial experience enabling her to understand first principle and how to apply them in a commercial setting.  

Following her (First Class Honours) degree in Psychology and an MSc in Health Psychology, A published writer, Emma’s more recent work has focussed on the ageing population and how to best meet its needs. In fact, her doctorate paper focused on the important area of the psychological determinants of ageing and positive ageing in particular. Emma is now on her way to being afforded the prestigious status of Chartered Psychologist. Emma’s ability for deep insight coupled with grounded perspective is something to behold!


Paul Strange

Having previously worked at senior levels for Harris Interactive and GfK NOP.  Paul has over 20 years experience in advanced analytics, consultancy and research and has working with us on a number of project requiring advanced statistics, including conjoint studies, segmentations and other techniques.

With the Big Window team, Paul has consistently proven his ability to get right to heart of business issues and understand how to develop and use solutions to answer the key business objectives. Uniquely, he brings numbers and statistical analysis to life - using them to bring clarity rather than confusion. 


Michelle Pinch

Previously a Director of the highly successful consultancy company, Icarus Collective, Nicola has worked as a researcher and trainer for the past fifteen years with organisations across the public and private sectors.· With a first-class Degree in Psychology and a Masters in Health Psychology, Nicola has an advanced understanding of the individual and contextual drivers of human behaviour. Passionate about bringing insights from all strands of psychology to business environments, she is frequently commended for her ability to design processes that challenge and motivate managers and frontline staff to think and behave in new ways.·

As a graduate member of the British Psychological Society, Nicola is well connected with other researchers and practitioners promoting and researching behavioural insights.· Her·academic research has been published internationally and presented at national and European conferences.··Now nearing the completion of her Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology, Nicola will soon hold Chartered Psychologist status.
